Pastor John McGuire is originally from Liberty, SC where he was a full-time firefighter prior to surrendering to vocational ministry. He was saved and originally felt called into ministry at the age of fourteen while attending an all boys missions education camp, Camp McCall, in Sunset, SC. He and his wife, Hannah, have been married just over 15 years and have five children. In his free time he enjoys coaching his children's sports, trout fishing, hiking, and backpacking. 

He was licensed and ordained at Open Door Baptist Church in Walhalla, South Carolina. Prior to coming to Lowe's Grove he was Senior Pastor of Lawrenceville Baptist Chapel in Northern NY, and Associate Pastor of Education for Open Door Baptist Church in Walhalla, SC.
